I like your painting, Pat reminds me of my youth. Clothes over the chair, and wondered how they got there...and where did those flowers come from? :)

I am not usually a fan of still life but this has changed my view on them. I find myself imagining the person wearing those incredible shoes, the relief of removing them after a night dancing, then waking in the morning to the sun streaming in. Beautifully done. Thank you.

Oil on canvas 51 x 41 cm. I set up this still life at home several weeks ago, then reconstructed it at each stage (except the roses which were from my imagination). I still need to add some shadows as the light was quite strong from the window. I enjoyed painting this still life for a change, rather than my usual land & sea scapes. I do find that objects tend to take more time with drawing etc. - skies are more adaptable!
