Jane Clarke sent in her vesrion of Paul's first challenge saying: 'I painted Paul's challenge using acrylics paying particular attention to both light and dark tones. The photograph was indistinct so I photographed it and blew it up to see what was in the distance. In building up the layers the painting took on an impressionist style and is certainly better being viewed from a distance! These exercises certainly are challenges taking us out of our comfort zones but also making us examine fundamental elements of painting'
