I've been watching this on the forum and it's a super painting, his face is a real picture and you have captured a real character there, the pebbles look excellent, great job Helen.

Wow incredible!!

And many thanks to forum members for advice on how to paint pebbly/sandy beaches! For the speckled bit (background) I used a toothbrush to flick the speckles

Many thanks Denise amf Faye

This is excellent Helen I have followed your progress on the forum . It has turn out do well , despite your initial worries , the pebble beach is beautifully painted, and the facial expression say more than any words could .

I really like the subject and the way you have captured that "grumpy" look, reflecting his crocs. Lovely painting, Helen.

Saw this on the forum, really good Helen, full of attitude and the beach is great

Excellent

Love that disgruntled expression and how you’ve positioned him on the sand. Everything about this is so skilfully painted Helen.

Excellent Helen!

Gorgeous work

Thank you everyone
