Gosh, Anne, this is such a heartfelt painting, I like the way you have the barbed wire from the cross to your 'tommy' figure' and also the poppy on his ghostly lapel.

First painting completed for my ArtGroup’s WW1 exhibition. The landscape area is The Howgills in Cumbria/N.Yorks. The figure is based on the ‘Tommy Ghosts’, seen countrywide to commemorate WW1.
