I think , for me, roses might be the new peony 😁 I picked these ‘Penny Lane’ from our garden because I adore their scent. I have never painted roses before. It goes to show that you have to challenge yourself all the time. It does me a lot of good to step out of my comfort zone. Sticking with a subject you know well often means that you stop looking hard at the subject because we are too familiar with it.
