Storm at Ballarat. There is a smell of gold-rush excitement at Ballarat with its imposing architecture. In the rain, the town hall tower stands like an immovable sentinel against the elements that battle against it. I was lucky enough to witness this town in the rain last year and this painting reflects the mood that was so real on the day. 90x90cm oil on canvas
