I really love the architectural way in which this has been rendered and can see you are an artist of true merit, so much so that I visited your website and have to say what a delight it is. Thanks for sharing your work.

I'm still wondering how you get such sharp lines with pastel pencils. Could you send me a message about what support you use, please.

Really well drawn and I like the way the dark window pulls your eye though to focus on the brightness of the buildings

This is a great painting as are so many of the ones you have posted. But I think you are doing yourself a disservice - another day, another four more paintings. There comes a time when you get saturated and just think, "Oh another four Michele Ashby paintings" and, apart from wondering if you plan to post your entire portfolio, pay not much more attention. If you want to encourage people to appreciate your work and/or visit your website, I suspect less is more.

Hi Linda I use a combination of soft pastels and pastel pencils. I use Clairefontaine’s Anthracite Pastelmat here
