Leicestershire Villages, Kilby

Another great scene Michael ; nicely balanced composition and harmonious pallette, lovely variation in the greens. Makes me wonder : how many villages are there in Leicestershire ? You must have recorded nearly all of them by now.

Thank you all - As for the number of villages this is the first that I've painted which falls outside the Harborough district which lies in the south of Leicestershire. There are still plenty of villages in Harborough which I've not yet painted - there are about 100 in total believe it or not. Kilby falls in the Oadby/Wigston district and I painted it as it is near to one of the galleries which display my work and I thought it would be appropriate.

What a wealth of subject matter then, sounds like they will keep you busy for years to come! And nice to be able to display them locally, I'm sure the visitors will love them.
