Thanks for all your kind comments, As I am doing a few which aren't coastal related (farmhouses, churches) and I rely on off-cuts and bits of wood found on building sites etc I think I shall have to rename them 'found wood sculptures' - any thoughts?

Thanks Thea and Fiona. A chip off the old block - that's what they an old friend of mine whose father was a carpenter! How about Rural Art - or even better still Coastal and Rural Art or even Coastal and Rural Sculptures - or..... - urghhh I give up....!

You really have found a new direction in your work with these delightful driftwood sculptures. I think they are most attractive and inventive.

Michael - I have been trying to comment on your coastal art, but after several attempts which haven't registered I am having one final go! I think your coastal art is so attractive and you really have found a new direction. I love the way you contrast the soft colours with dark wood. The little row of coastal houses with the boat is my particular favourite.
