Nice work. A lovely sunny scene.

This is a beautiful watercolour. Very sunny and well painted. Lovely scenery!!

I like this Michael, nice and loose.

Lovely light filled painting. Love the colour of the houses particularly (what did you use?). As you say, a perfect relaxed scene to paint.

Thanks for your comments - so pleased you all like it. Thea - I used Copbalt blue and burnt sienna on the roofs and raw sienna, burnt sienna, and light red on the walls. The composition was better balancd once I had added my signature in the bottom left hand corner

Delightful - a touch of summer in the city - so sunny it looked like Italy until I read the description.

Thanks Jane. Oops - sorry - see comments above - the signature is in bottom right.

Looks such an interesting place and you have captured the light really well.

Great painting Michael, lovely, bright sunny feel to it.

I most certainly do like it = wonderful, lively watercolour, drenched in light and sun.

Thanks again to you for your generuos comments

Nice watercolour painting Michael, always tricky getting the perspective correct with buildings to make them convincing, but you have, like the tones and general composition as well, along with a great sunny atmosphere created by you in this piece

Love the light and the colors. It's super!

Thanks Deb & Fiona for your kind comments.

I would agree great painting - looks almost like a sunny French village.

Many will be familiar with the designer clothes outlets Joules. What you may not know is that it started out and is based in Market Harborough. Behind its Market Harborough store it runs an eclectic range of activities which includes an eatery with themed evenings (jazz, folk etc), a laundry business, and a reclaim/antiques yard. This yard provides great subject matter which many artists would jump at the opportunity to paint. I certainly had great fun painting this version of the scene. Hope you all like it.
