Very nice Michael it has a strong landscape feel full of light and very nice to look at. Lovely

Yes agreed. Did the emulsion help or hinder?

An Arctic landscape...magical.

Thanks to you all - I found the emulsion a great help especially with this sort of effect - the acrylics mix well and can be used as a colourant to the emulsion. another point is that emulsion used in these quantities is so much cheaper than a costly tube of acrylic. I just love the way the two interact.

Very arctic indeed Michael and beautiful with it! I painted a whole painting about ten years ago with emulsion on cardboard and it has lasted very well. I haven't tried to mix artists acrylics with emulsion but why not.

Thanks Satu - emulsion is used on walls and lasts forever providing it isn't scuffed, knocked, of splashed with coffee etc - also I know a watercolourist who regularly uses it in conjunction with watercolours and I have heard of another who only paints in emulsion using the small sample pots - and I understand that some use it as a primer rather than the more expensive gesso - so as you say, why not! .

Beautiful Michael, it has a lovely calming feel to it, I could look at it for hours! I've just bought some sample pots of chalk finish paint for a table and chairs renovation project. I feel inspired to experiment with the left overs to try and produce an abstract painting, it obviously works very well.

Yes, quite interesting Michael, like Christine I thought tranquility.

Simple but so very effective. I really like the contemporary palette and the suggestion of movement.

Smooth like Agate. I love it

Another of my adventures into acrylic abstracts - actually I used quite a bit of emulsion paint in this as an experiment - quite liked the effect
