Yes the pose is religious but I thought about the special bond between any parent and their child. The love of my life is my mother. She's been my support all my life and stood by me even through times in which I wasn't easy to love. The first artist I really loved was raphael and to be honest in some ways he's still my number 1. Hence the Madonna and child image.
