Very attractive picture Mia. The "sun" doesnt look out of place , nobody would notice

Very nucely handled Mia,,you could easily crop out the 'sun' if it bothers you.

Its a lovely sketch Mia and I like your title!!!

Beautiful drawing and I think the ink spot looks like the evening sun Mia.

That's probably happened to all of us who have ever used ink, don't worry about it. Your drawing works well, and I like the subtle ink washes - very fond of Chinese ink.

It's very attractive Mia. If you hadn't rawn attention to it I wouldhave assumed the winter sun. Too honest Mia!

Lovely work, Mia. Have to say I did not realise the 'blob' was a mistake, i thought it was the sun. It works for me!

Think it looks great Mia, a lovely sketch

If I hadn't read the description I would have said that it was the sun (or moon perhaps), and would say that it just tops the sketch off. Not a disaster at all.

I love this Mia, ink spot too, such a great drawing.

Thank you all so very, very much for your positive comments. I am reassured now that it is not really a disaster. As a lot of you said: it could be the sun. I really do appreciate your opinion because I was a bit in panic when the drop fell of my pen almost at the end of drawing. I am reassured now.

It's a real charmer of a drawing Mia and the 'sun' works so well - in fact I doubt if I for one could have added a sun that looks as convincing.

You've caught this country scene beautifully Mia.

Love this Mia, it's really charming.

I rather like the black sun.

Thanks Michael, Avril, Jenny and Linda, for your nice and positive comments.

I wouldn't mind being able to draw like this Mia!

Thank you very much, Adele. This really is a compliment.

Very sweet looking place and so beautifully drawn, Mia! I took your accidental blob for the sun in the sky! Might as well have been.

Yes, it could be and I will consider it as such from now on, Satu. Thank you very much :)

Mia, I’ve just seen Dennis Roberts painting with the red sun, I thought you were also putting your experience of the sight into your beautiful style of ink work.

Thank you very much, Fiona, for your lovely comment.

Very nicely done Mia.

What a lovely pen and wash Mia. So well drawn!

Thank you for taking the time to post a comment, George and Louise. I do appreciate very much.

Lovely penwork, Mia! a gorgeous painting!

Thank you very much Jennifer.

I especially like how you did the bricks, and the wash is spot on!

Many, many thanks Jenny.

Mia...This is a lovely sketch!

PS; It's just a hazy sun...Nice!

Thank you so very much, Ruth. I received many comments saying that it didn't look like a spot. They all commented that it looked like a sun, so I am very happy about that.

This is after a watercolour painting by Wendy Jelbert from one of her books. I liked the subject so much that I had to make a black and white pen and wash after it. I used a dip pen with Chinese Ink, starting immediately in ink and giving it a wash with diluted ink. When it was almost finished, a drop of ink fell of my pen in the middle of the sky: disaster! I wanted to post it anyway, so please tell me what you think of it. Thank you very much for having a look. Size: A4.
