This is beautiful Mia. I really like the way you have used the watercolour wash more in some places than others, so considered. I like Poppy Arrangement and your other drawings of plants for the same reason.

Very beautiful Mia. You seem to be very prolific with your work. I just love looking at other peoples work. Yours has such a solitary feeling. Waiting for the next one! I am spending far too much time on this site.

Wonderful drawing - two media beautifully combined: I'll swear you keep getting better!

Re Robert's comment, my words exactly :)

Beautiful drawing and with the addition of the watercolour gives a lovely finish

I agree with all above, beautiful Mia.

My favourite plant in the whole world, otherwise known as flamingo plant. This is just beautiful; delicate, good contrast, good composition and a lovely combination of media.

Brilliantly observed plant.Interesting to hear the technique you used here.(many thanks for your comments-much appreciated)

A really lovely study Mia

Thank you all so very, very much for your positive comments. I really appreciate :) Mia.

Another beautiful painting Mia, lovely monochromatic study

Everyone has already said what I wanted to Mia.......wonderful study.

I agree with everything that has been said Mia, a delightful drawing and I love the way you have placed it off centre, makes a lovely composition.

This is lovely Mia. In fact all your drawings are exquisite. I have recently bought a book on Ruskin and some of his drawings, although not necessarily of flowers, remind me of your work. :)

Another really beautiful work of art, Mia! Viewing your paintings always help me to look at common scenes and plants with a fresh eye. You are a real inspiration!

Another fine study Mia using pen and wash technique which you render in such an accomplished manner, like this one a lot, your work seems to just get better and better.

Wow, so many lovely comments. Thanks to you all very, very much. Anne, I googled Ruskin and I am very honoured about your compliment. I knew his name but seeing some of his drawings on the internet... I don't know what to say.... :) Mia

Another lovely piece of work Mia, and I love these beautiful plants.

Thanks Denise, I appreciate.

This has the wow factor for me Mia, a real beauty!

Thank you very much, Lesley.

I like to draw and paint flowers and plants in monochrome pen and wash. I always look for special and unusual shapes. This pen and wash was made using a Sepia waterproof Faber-Castell marker and Van Dyck-brown (Rembrandt) watercolour. I prefer putting the object off-center and love "playing" with the negative space around it.
