Thank you Maureen. Unfortunately a lot of light reflection when I took the photo, which has given the painting a speckled look :-(

nicely done, I would have blended in the skin highlights a touch more

Thank you for your comment Tony, and you're right with the skin tone..... it's now really bugging me! I was so wrapped up in the detail, I didn't see the bigger picture (pardon the pun!). I will go back and do some blending - particularly around her arm and shoulder area. I will upload the picture again and would really appreciate any further comments. Friends and family just say 'that's really good' or 'Great'. To have constructive comments is what I'm after, so thanks again Tony.

Very nice, the eyes not easy to get right, but you've got that look spot on. Love the detail in the curtain also.

Did you use film star Eva Green as a reference Mark? The painting is great, but if you really want comment, ( and it is that, not criticism) I'm seeing just a little too much forhead on the right as I look (her left) The edge of the brown is about the right line. If you cover the highlight bit up you'll see what I mean. An excellent painting without doubt.

Thank you Andre. Yes, eyes can be quite a challenge at the best of times - so overall I'm quite pleased with it especially after not putting brush to canvas for about 18 months. And thank you Jim, it is indeed the lovely Eva Green. Funny you say that about the forehead where it's highlighted, I did think it didn't look quite right whilst I was painting this and forgot to go back over it. It is so obvious when I look at it now. So thanks Jim, it's good to have another pair of eyes!
