Guinigi Tower, Lucca

Comments

Must admit, it was too hot for us to climb. Lovely place and you've brought back some lovely memories

Love how you have painted this beautiful scene Mark.

Just remembered the tower I took the photo from is the Torre delle Ore, Lucca’s tallest tower. It was over 30ºc and a lot of steps. With no travel on the horizon I'm so glad I took lots of pics on my travels.

I love it, the out of focus distance really makes the painting.

The Guinigi Tower, Lucca in Tuscany. Painted on a full sheet of Millford paper with Schmincke watercolours. I painted the tower plein air at least 4 times, but I took a photo from the bell tower with distant hills in the background and this is the best angle.
