It looks really good Marjorie, don’t knock yourself. I think it look spontaneous, just finish lunch and this is whats left sort of thing, much better than all formality laid out. Everything about it looks good and well painted 12 /10 from me .

Ha ha Paul, couldn’t ask for better than that!

The composition looks fine to me. A lovely painting.

Looks pretty darn good to me too Marjorie! Sometimes the unplanned works better.

Lewis, Tessa, you are both so kind - thank you. Now I can clean my clogged up palette, I’d had left over paint which I’d added to - I’m not the tidiest!

Looks good to me.

I like it Marjorie, the vase especially.

This is a lovely painting Marjorie. I love the shape and reflective qualities of the vase and am very impressed with the colours you have used on the tablecloth.

I don’t know how many times I’ve painted that vase, I love it! 😆 Thank you Denise, Russell and Spencer.

Lovely painting Marjorie, colours work really well, the same for those reflections.

Love the vase and the palette you have used

Marjorie you have the Midas touch, whatever you paint is a winner to me.

Lesley, Romila and Fiona, many thanks for looking and leaving such generous comments.

This has turned out really nicely, Marjorie - your enjoyment has clearly come through. I really like this still life...

Ah thanks Jan. Strange isn’t it..I would never have set out to do something like this but because I was just using paint etc. I was limited to the left over colours. Somebody told me today to either subdue my colours or go in the opposite direction. Something to think about. ( will the housework ever get done?)

Forget the housework. How often do you get praise for that, but the paintings?……..well worth the praise.

Looks good Marjorie, I can tell you enjoyed painting it so much!

A lovely play Marjorie. Good enough to eat.

Linda, Thalia and Sylvia, thanks for the lovely comments.🌞

I particularly like how you’ve set this up Marjorie - the apple behind the vase is good, and the somewhat sparse arrangement! A more prominent light source creating shadows may be my only suggestion… but then we could be verging on chiaroscuro!

Thanks for the input Alan. Yes, I could go on here but the paint has been used , though the palette will need attacking!

A lovely lovely painting Marjorie, the colours are wonderful, love all about it! Enjoyment is what it’s all about ❤️

Well, despite what you say, the composition has come out well and the colours are beautiful, like this still life a lot

Thank you Carole and Heather 🙂🙂

I love the way you've caught the glaze on your vase Marjorie, lovely painting.

I love that vase - it looks iridescent! I think it’s very clever.

Thanks Val and Janet!

Lovely painting, Marjorie. Love the colours.

Oil over old painting. I left in the apples and added my favourite vase and just enjoyed using favourite colours. It’s going nowhere, composition wasn’t really set up but I did enjoy the play.
