i like this piece Margaret..... almost abstract. i especially like landscapes with very high or very low horizons as you have done here.

Hello Margaret, I can see that your are creative even when you are not painting Fairies! Perhaps some Aureolin, Raw Sienna, warm orange, Burnt Sienna. You could glaze over your dry painting with transparent colours any of the ones I have mentioned. You certainly have the texture there. Best wishes Jeannette PS the back was during the summer - I'm fine thank you

Well done you!! Love the foreground texture you've achieved and is that a bit of scratching out as well for the grass? Very different from your fairies, well done.

I love these colours, so warm, also like the black splogges, just break up the pinky reds.

this is lovely ................great colour

I love this Margaret, lots of movement and the colours work really well. I love using a lot of blues with red/browns.Do you know the work of Kurt Jackson? Have a look - he might inspire you to continue in this vein!

There's a special "something" about this painting. To be honest I find myself reaching for the button to take me back to the safety of the home page, but instead I keep coming back for another look. It,s really has got the X Factor. Thanks for your valued comments about my painting, I really appreciate it.

Thank you for your comments on my work Margaret. Your landscapes are my favourites Margaret. I don't really "get" the fairies. I think you could really do something powerful if you played with oils or acrylic for you landscapes. You asked for comments about this one in particular. I think the only aspect I might want to alter is the range of hills in the background. For me they are a little too "even" if you know what I mean? I hope this is not offensive!

An attempt at a landscape. I love the colours of the fields - not sure if I have it right. Please feel free to give some constructive criticism. I really would like to paint strong, textured landscapes. This is watercolour by the way.
