"Meg"

Is Meg a Flat Coat? She certainly looks very like one. So difficult to do a black dog but you have got all the light and shade into the coat. Lovely expression in Meg's eyes (and if she isn't a F-C then the look in her eyes is exactly the expression they have). Great portrait.

Hi this was a private commission. Meg is a beautiful dog part of the Setter Breed,they have a very long flat nose compared to the setter. She's a very friendly lovable dog. I will post a photograph of her on here later for you to compare. I found this portrait quite difficult to do because of her unusual features. And also using charcoal as I don't tend to use this medium very often but once i got stuck into the drawing began to enjoy it.
