super, brilliant eyes

A fabulous journey through mediums, Marilyn, all mediums and papers succumbs to your skill. Brilliant portrait as ever.

Thank you so much Cesare and Tony for your lovely comments.

This is wonderful, Marilyn. How did you find using drafting film compared to paper?

Thank you Malcolm. I find drafting film so much easier than paper as the pencil glides over it, the colour is richer and you can actually work on both sides to enhance it further and also use different backing colours. Downsides are it is not as “organic” as paper (shiny finish) and layering is a little harder. Do try it though!

Love the reflections in her eyes, superb!

Wow Marilyn this is amazing! I've only tried drafting film once and this has made me want to try again! Did you use any blender with this as you have a marvellous finish.

Beautiful painting. The eyes in particular are fantastic.

Another simply amazing piece, Marilyn, love her dreamy eyes. Hauntingly real!

Thank you so much Nigel, Carole, Thalia and Margaret. Hi Margaret - I did use a little Caran d’Ache blender in places but discovered that blender is not really necessary on this film and does create a very shiny waxy surface which is not desirable when photographing the image.

STUNNING..........Just STUNNING... WOW....

Superb as always Marilyn
