My thanks to all for the kind comments - greatly appreciated. Michael , they are "privies" or "dunnies " over here. Better still , "Long drops" which says it all. In my earlier and more energetic days , I was a keen tramper and we came across a fair selection - some of which I photographed - especially the older ones that had blown over or collapsed. Ubiquitous plastic chemical loos have replaced them - smell as bad but no character !!
