Manchester Scene

Another very strong and atmospheric painting of your home town. I like the solidity of the buildings and the colour of the brickwork and the intense darks add to the industrial feeling. Another great painting in your Manchester series.

All that I like in a townscape: good recession, bold use of colours and really loose - nice one Louise.

Louise,I like your November streets very much and I like it too that yout don't give up before you have achieved your goal. These street scenes certainly are difficult to paint in watercolour but you have done it very well.

Many thanks Satu, Gudrun and Fiona. I wasn't sure exactly where this was as I used a photo that was taken by my daughter. She's told me that it's actually Dale street in Manchester so at least now I can give it the correct title. Luckily there weren't many people about on that day, and I just ignored any that had dared to venture in to the photo! Dale street it is (LOL)
