Good lively work Louise, I like the strong tones of the Cathedral and bridge, pushing in the other buildings back, works well!

Another stunner! Love the solid darkness of the buildings and the little touches of red in the flag and street sign. I think you should make a book of all your Manchester paintings and I bet it would sell like hot cakes.

Your style is quite unique with these sketches, very spontaneous and rapid, this is a style of art that I most enjoy looking at, always more to see, nice work Louise.

Thanks Stephen, Thea and Alan!

Oooooo....lovely pen work Louise and great tones! What a smasher.

I tried to follow your lines Louise but of course it's not an oneliner. Your pen marks look so confident and casual at the same time and I'm really envious. In this great painting I especially love the water under the bridge and the depth beyond the arches. Well done!

Very kind of you Fiona, Satu and Dennis especially as it's one of those quick rushed off sketches!

Love the palette and the splashes of red!

You always know how to 'lift' a painting Louise, as demonstrated with the well placed touches of red and the splashes of brighter blue.

Love your bold, confident lines and washes, Louise!

As usual I am late to the party so it's all been said! I like how the old juxataposes the new.

Great composition Louise, very informative painting as always.

Many thanks Christine, Seok, Gudrun and Carole. Very kind of you all!
