Apologies Louise I am a bit slow today

Lovely busy scene Louise, love the primary colours.

This is brilliant Louise, love the lettering and the composition has real impact. Great colours too, all in all a really dramatic scene. I've had a houseful of family members for the past few days so it's nice to be able to catch up with POL postings again!

I liked the sketch Louise, but this is on another plane, fabulous colours and interesting composition. I would love to take this on in oils...

Many thanks Dennis, Carole, Christine and Alan. This one took some time so your kind comments are appreciated! Alan, if you mean that you'd like to paint it in oils, I'm flattered but I'd rather that you didn't as it's a commission.

No, of course I wouldn't Louise, it's just one of those subjects that really appeals to me. Nice commission.

Great colours and shapes, Louise.

Thanks Jennifer and I agree Allan, these sort of scenes are so interesting to paint. Places you'd normally only glance at. So many shapes and colours all waiting to be painted. I'm a Mancunian as well so have an affection for these industrial type places.

Super busy scene, love the lights in the foreground

Absolutely agree Louise, inspiration just exudes when I see work like this, and you really do these scenes justice, I am seeing much talent. As for me, well, busy doing castles at the moment for a series, after then, I would like to return to more industrial semi - abstract or certainly expressive painting in oils.

This is seriously splendid Louise and I love it!!! Lucky people who are going to have it on their wall. Wow!

Thank you Lesley and Satu for your kind words! Alan, talking of industrial type semi abstracts, what about electricity pylons..all that grey steel lattice work. The possibilities are endless!

Congratulations on this commission they will be very pleased I'm sure Louise!

New shoes for me as well Carole?....LOL

Wow. that is something special Louise, your customer must be thrilled with it.

Another magnificent piece, Louise! I really love your use of shapes and colors here. There's a real x-factor to it.

Thank you Val and Seok.!

Christian Louboutin shoes? ;o))

More like Clarks Carole.. :)

Looks like we were on the same 'track' Louise with the overhead lines! This is seriously good, love the red signals and box.

Can't beat Clarks fir comfort Louise 😆😆

Bit late logging in, but just had to add my tuppenceworth. This is excellent, shapes and palette are so exciting. Well done for not tightening up for the commission - I'm sure I'd get very nervous.

Many thanks Fiona and Sharon!

This is brilliant!! So many shapes, details, colours all meshed together to make this fantastic scene. I have no idea how you plan and execute this type of painting but however you do it they turn out wonderfully well.
