That's the word Louise! Spontaneity ! You are so right, this is another great example of how to draw crowd scenes. Lots of action in this:)

This is brilliant Louise! You are the queen of the one liners!!

Many thanks Sarah and Christine. Once I got the hang of drawing with the fine rigger, I preferred it to the pen as it gave me a nice uneven line as well as some splodgy bits! The rigger tends to go off in the wrong direction as well which doesn't matter to me and hopefully adds to that elusive spontaneity which I couldn't get when I used it while actually looking at the paper. All this sounds a little odd but it's such fun and I recommend you all try it.

Yes, this one has a certain vra vra vroom that the one where you looked had less. It's all about the spontaneity and not looking seems to achieve that. This one is great - great colour and such super energy.

Thank you Thea, I should have called it 'vra vra vroom' ..LOL

Louise...these really work. Great.

Super work, Louise! Your figures always look like they're having a good time, I love the fun element that's always in your paintings!

Many thanks Satu, Sylvia and Seok!

Ditto all that's been said....!

Very very nice Louise. I think that if you over think a painting or just copy exactly what you are looking at or have in your mind (and your painting looks exactly the same) then you don't stumble across the good stuff and you are sort of being a slave to your own mind (the results of which are often dull because you are not happy doing it this way). I think your approach is a lot of fun and every now and again you come up with a diamond piece of work - as above. Sorry I haven't commented in a while - I've been having major dental problems having root surgery etc.

This looks so good. Your lines make a credible group of people Louise.

Thank you Michael, Joseph, Carole and Gudrun. I was pleased with this one!

Love it Louise!

I've done rather a few of these today and promise that this is the last posting! Painted with a rigger brush, almost one line and no looking at the paper. The dodgy legs were sorted out when I applied paint. I tried the same technique when looking at the paper and the spontaneity was lost. It didn't work.
