Wow Louise! This is so lively and spontaneous! Well done!

I like this Louise, the pen work, the lighter colours and the little red car! Don't know if you've seen it but your recent ivy painting is on the POL Facebook page at the moment?

I was in Manchester yesterday and I hadn't realised quite how wonderfully you have captured the architecture and atmosphere of the city in your series of drawings and paintings. This one is light and airy and gives a new slant on the buildings and is all the better for being done spontaneously and quickly.

Many thanks Mia, Christine (for letting me know) and Thea. I first sketched this scene in biro in a note pad while waiting in the car for someone. The pale blue lines on the note pad didn't help so I quickly re did it when I got home! The nearest I get to 'en plein air' or rather 'dans la car'...lol

I think it's great Louise, who cares if it's inaccurate in places, it's full of life!

Lovely, lively sketch Louise, By coincidence, I've just posted a quick line and wash.

Another great sketch Louise, lively and loose with a lovely touch of red for the car.

I much prefer inaccurate drawings when they are well drawn like this Louise!

Many thanks Fiona, Stephen, Val and Satu!

Lovely loose pen work - I wouldn't worry about accuracy of shapes as your work is always full of life (if it was too accurate I think it would deaden it a little any way).

I agree Joseph and thanks!

Love the pale palette in this a real contrast to your other Manchester scenes.

No pencil! You are clever girl Louise! I like the palette for this.

Love the bold and lively lines in this one, Louise. The minimal splashes of reds really adds the kicker here!

A very quick dip pen sketch. No pre penciling which explains the inaccurate drawing!
