Superb - magnificent and brilliant! Love this. I do like your more abstract ones, but the pernickity side of me like all this more defined detail. I love the people having coffee, the umbrellas, the cars and the multi-storey car park is wonderful. Can't praise it highly enough.

Brilliant Louise, best street scene so far. Like Thea I like your almost abstract paintings because of their freshness and simplicity but I also like these much more considered pieces because there is so much to look at and this one has plenty to look at (it must have taken quite a bit of time to accomplish this). It's hard to say which are the best bits - which is a good thing, but I do like the way you have painted the railings on the multi-storey car park and I also love the area to the bottom right which I think is the dominant focal point. Excellent painting.

Lovely colours Louise, particularly that blue! I like these more detailed paintings too.

Excellent, I thought I liked your more abstract way your paintings were going but I really like this, can only agree with the comments above.

Thank you Thea, Joseph, Christine and Kevin. I appreciate your comments especially as this one took ages (for me)! I have to confess to using a thick needle dipped in masking fluid for the car park railings Joseph. Next stop abstract for which I already have an idea Kevin!

Brilliant Louise! I agree with everything that's been said above.....not a cop out, just can't think of anything else to add.

Super work Louise, my personal preference is for this more resolved style but I do appreciate the freer work also.

Really like this one, Louise, fantastic composition and balanced distribution of colours/values. Do you paint from photographs, memory, or on site I wonder ? (Don't think many street cafes are out in Manchester at the moment, mores the pity, so probably not on location)

Thank you Fiona, Stephen and Sharon who made me smile at the thought of me painting on site. They are from photographs taken in the Northern Quarter of town of which I need to take some new ones :) The abstract ones are loosely based on photographs and I enjoy doing those more but the more recognisable ones seem to be popular, with my family anyway. who don't always 'get' what I paint.. lol

Yes a real cracker Louise

Wonderful painting. So much to look at. It's vibrant and has bags of energy. Love it.

Lots of detail to look at Louise one of your best.

Thank you Michael, Dawn and Carole though Dawn, I'm not feeling too energetic after spending hours on this one. lol

A truly inspiring and great painting Louise!

Thanks Satu, lovely comment!

You've achieved wonderful chromatic balance in this composition, but in a seemingly casual way. It both pulsates with life and has a monumental, static quality too.

One of my favorites in your gallery, Louise. Love the vitality of the urban cityscape which you've captured so beautifully.

Many thanks Kim and Seok!
