Thanks Julie and Michael for your kind comments. Michael those jars are from holland and they're called Delft. We actually had the opportunity of visiting this place and watch the process of these fine porcelain items being manufactured and also met the artist who paints on these ornaments.

The combination of rich blues and oranges always work - attraction of opposites. This is lovely - beautifully drawn and painted.

This is so beautifully done, Lorraine - I really love the subtle washes of color, with the accents in all the right places.

Thanks Carole for your comments. Yes in each hole I have small wooden tulips purposely for this vase. Decided not to paint them so as not to complicate things.
