Cat Scratch
This is from a recent photo I took at Cotswold Wildlife Park. I was fortunate enough for this lion and his mate to be active when I went. They both posed for photos and rolled and played then this majestic creature walked over to this tree stump, stretched and scratched just like my little puss at home. It was the perfect pose for a painting. I wanted a soft background so that he would stand out so I used pan pastels. I then used Derwent Coloursoft pencils for the focus of the painting, the lion and his post. 'Cat Scratch' A4 Hanbury & York HP paper Pan Pastels Derwent Coloursoft Pencils.
