Well done Ken for taking this subject and turning into a bright, interesting painting.

I know it's just cars Ken, but you've painted them so well and the figure brings life to the scene.

West Nile Street is a Glasgow street scene, similar in look and feel to my earlier painting Grey Day which I posted here on Painters Online back in January. In fact, the two scenes are nearby. I could be wrong about this but I suspect that a lot of artists shy away from painting cars (not counting those who specialise in car portraits, of course). I don't know why not. I like their sleek curves, the odd, distorted reflections in the paintwork and the bright reds in the light clusters. I've probably said this before somewhere in my gallery but I do love to put reds into my artwork.
