A lovely freshness and gentle palette, Karen. I love the sky and the tree, and that area of strong dark at the foreground bottom left has really set the whole scene, along with the dark tree shadow.

Good result Karen but agree with your own analysis with such a strong colour in the middle ground it has made getting the foreground to register very difficult. Having said that you have had a good go at it.

More music-inspired painting fun. Quite pleased with the tree and some of the calligraphy, but I overcooked the mid ground and lost freshness as a result. There's always next time!
