Another lovely painting Joy. Queen Anne's Lace is indeed a nicer name for the plant.

I have painted this flower so many times- they are proliferic at Rudan Lake just 10 minutes from us. I sat by the water's edge to sketch first with pencil. Then at home I began the task of layering of colors - using color pencil. First I filled the flowers with white so the color would be bright enough. There were about 6 layers.... I also love the Queen Anne's Lace - others call Cow Parsley, but I like my name better! I also used the finest point white Posca pen...
