This is stunning ! i love the incredible deep rich colors, especially this electric blue you are able to achieve in watercolor. I paint in watercolor, I don't think I have ever achieved this deep rich vibrant color. Are you pouring the colors on? and using masking? The hard edges everywhere work so well in this portrait. Hats off to you!!!! Wonderful!!!!

Thanks for the kind comments. Nancy the blue is three layers of cobalt. I only used masking tape for the border edges - everything else was very quick dry brush and then very quickly laying the first wash of cobalt - followed instantly by a second and third wash. It's something I am trying to work on and it is still not as intense and as flat as I would like it to be.
