For this one I used a small blurred image gleaned from the Radio Times plus looking at a Gardener's World rather intensely! I have tried photographing a static recording for some work. I did this when composing a much rearranged Junior Orchestra painting. I try and work as fast as possible with these watercolour sketches in order to teach myself to be able to pick out the main likeness elements as well as the main lights and darks. For me the greatest inspiration I have had with watercolour portraiture is watching Aine Devine's video. Much recommended!
