Especially like this... those colours are magic. Are they really watercolours Jo? What make please. They look like the inks I use.
In fact I wish I had done this.

Who would have thought that a few squiggles and washes would produce such an original painting, love it!

I agree, it's a smashing painting, love the freeness.

Beautiful use of lines, with a gorgeous palette. A really delightful piece.

For those who asked... these are really cheap intense watercolour. They look like a childrens plastic palette of 12 colours, and I tend to use up only 4-5 of them. They mix and spread well. I don't mix in a palette, but on the paper. If I don't like what happens, I just flood with water and blot off. It usually just leaves a very light stain.

Sylvia... I think "magic" is the word. I can't remember where I came across these, there are some others in a round palette, but I think those are ink, whereas these are described as watercolour. They are sooo cheap, I just buy several boxes at a time, and use the colours I need. One day I will paint with the others. The blending is magic as well... mix a violet with orange or red, and the resulting brown is amazing. I made the pint for the crevettes by using yellow, orange and red, and just adding colour satin, then removing until it came up "crevette coloured!"

Anilinky. www.koh-i-noor.cz.

I hope they are lasting colour... not so sure, but very satisfying to paint with.
