Watercolour applied straight to the paper from tube for the boats. Dragged with a wooden straightedge. Rest is watercolour (White Nights) applied in various thickness and diluted on the paper. An idea which came from trying to catch the fast moving sailing boats. Underdrawing of boat and sail, in the way a treble clef is drawn.
