April forum challenge

I do love this Jenny. Very eye catching.

Thanks, Denise! I was planning to do another new one, then remembered this which seemed appropriate. Might still try another later.

Hockney-ish maybe! Anyway, it’s a great idea and great application Jenny.

Thanks, Alan - yes, you’re right, I should have said ‘Hockney inspired’ - have corrected it now!

Excellent piece Jenny, I haven’t even thought about the challenge yet! I have a few weeks left...lol.

Thanks, Fiona! Yes, plenty of time left - thought I’d get mine done early, though, as our art club exhibitions are starting up again in May (booked for 17th which was fortunate) and I’m going to be busy organising that.

Not Hockneyish just Harris-ish. Hockney’s water is a very individual thing but I like this as it is. Never mind the table legs, I’d not noticed until I read your notes.

Thanks, Frank! Yes, Hockney’s water is amazing and very individual. This was never meant to copy his style, it’s just my impression of a poolside scene inspired by his work.

Eye catching Jenny, love your choice of colour.

Thanks, Carole!

Beautiful Jenny, love the unusual colour combination

Many thanks, Anjana!

As always top drawer work Jenny

Thanks very much, Dennis!

Not a new one, but it was done as a Hockney inspired 70s style painting, so hopefully fits the challenge! (Just noticed that the table legs don’t look the same length, can’t have photographed it square - how annoying, but can’t change it now without deleting and starting again. It’s a shame we no longer have the option to update the image on an existing post.)
