And you have achieved the tonal values really well Jennifer. I always tend to go really deep with my shadows, I adore tones and to me they are more important than colour. Smashing work and a complex subject.

I like paintings with figures and lots of activity. The very thing I shy away from. I like the stronger colours in the foreground and the lovely darks of the shadowed building

Cityscapes are not my usual topic, however the photograph I used to paint this was full of light and shade and I had to have a go.
