So sorry for the loss of your mum Jennifer a sad and terrible time. You have captured her smile and spirit xx

Thank you Carole, she smiled right to the end. Love that about her. X

What a difficult and emotional thing to do, Jennifer. Very sad to hear this about your mum. A lovely painting to have.

Jen, I think you share your mum’s strength and bravery. To paint this touching and loving portrait must have taken courage, I hope it has been a kind of balm to sooth your aching heart.

Such an emotional portrait, Jennifer. Sorry for your loss.

Thank you Marjorie, Fiona, Mia, yes its helping me to heal. All I can do is think about her, so to paint her helps me feel close to her. X

Very sad for you Jennifer. You have put your heart and soul into this splendid piece of art work and that is what really counts in any art work. All credit to you. Well done.

Oh Jen, what a sad time for you, but you’ve painted a wonderful memento in a very personal way. xx

Wow, superb Jennifer. Love pours out of this painting and you have done her proud.

Well done you!!! For having both emotional strength and artistic skill to complete such a personal challenge. I’m going through the same situation right now (with my wife) so know exactly how you feel.

Thank you Tessa and Heather for the lovely comments. Aww Michael im so sorry you are going through this too, I hope you have lots of support at home. It has to be one of the hardest experiences, at one of the hardest times in life, when we're all isolated from one another. Sending you love x

Jennifer, I am sorry you lost your mum. It's a good painting. As you say, painting her is a way of feeling close to her and I know it can help to process the loss in this way.

So sorry for your loss Jennifer, you have captured her so beautifully.

My mum passed away on the 22nd sep this year. Emotionally I have been a wreck, all I can do is think about her. Had to see if I could paint her. This was mum on her birthday in June, she was always smiling. Such a strong woman. My hero, my fighter. Painted using graphitint on a5 300gsm watercolour paper
