This fellow is about the same age as me, but slightly faster. Inevitably I find myself hanging back on the turn to let him pass (pool etiquette so essential!) often I see him coming in the opposite direction inches from me. In that sense, lane swimming is quite intimate, particuarly when you see the same people 5 days a week. I'm not sure his wife would recognise him from this image, but us bald guys all look very much alike!
