Thank you for your kind comments. I love this painting too. It started life in a very different format - a complete abstract landscape - but after setting it aside for a month or so it evolved very naturally into this summer scene. Because of the layering technique that I use, I have to start with the sky, and somehow if I get that right everything else in the painting seems to flow.
