This is excellent Haidee-Jo.

So recognisable as him Haidee-Jo! I love your muted range of colours.

This is what I call a painting, superb in every way. Really captures the man and his work.

Absolutely brilliant Haidee-Jo. I’ve been a massive fan of David for 25 years, and you have just got him here with a minimum of brush strokes.

That's tremendous work Haidee-Jo. Love the semi- loose impression sytle.

I really love this- I assume it's painted against the light which gives it such dramatic appeal-superb!

You've made it look so easy, if only. Brilliant.

Beautiful work

This is another stunning rapid figure sketch Haidee-Jo. These are so difficult for most of us. Congratulations on your success once again at Patchings, wonderful work.

Thanks Alan, I saw your painting in the exhibition yesterday, lovely work! And congratulations on your prize! 👏

Thanks Haidee-Jo, I’m glad you liked it. I’ve no idea what the Patchings Award is, no one seems to know.

Thanks for taking the time to flag this up on the forum. Whatever it is will be great, but winning another award is what I was after, anything else is a bonus!

Masterful in technique and composition - great artwork.

I had the great pleasure last weekend of painting this quick study of the great David Curtis while he was painting a plein air demo for friends of the ROI and IEA at Morston Quay in Norfolk. I only had about 45 minutes so I didn’t have time to spoil it! ;-)
