A stunning piece, beautifully nuanced, with great atmosphere and light.

Both of these pictures are just marvelous catching the light (and heat) and the joy of spring. Expertly painted, of course.

Such dynamic clever painting. Love all the colours and shapes.

I really doubt that a painting like this could ever be done in a studio, or from a photograph: even though many of us are limited to both, or to painting from imagination or remembered scenes, I think the question still needs to be asked - could this have been painted other than en plein air? I seriously doubt that it could - the vibrancy of the colour is dictated by the challenge of being out there, looking at it and trying to represent it. Oh and did I say? It's absolutely brilliant.
