In the eye of the beholder

Excellent portrait - you have captured some real character here

Very appealing, and great painting.

I love this Gerhard, and unlike most watercolours which are simple made to look complex, this is complex whilst loosing none of the immediacy.The effect of light on the pig's cheek and snout are excellent, The llost and found edges round the eye lashes are excellent. I have no influence in these things, but if this isn't a July painting of the month, then my foot's a trotter! Well done!

He is wonderful...must be a he with that look in his eye.
