It's a beautiful place George, and your watercolour captures the atmosphere.

You always get a ice 'soft' feel to your watercolours George, as Michael has said the shadows work very well.

Another good 'un George - I do like your greens - what mixes do you use?

Thanks Alan, Stephen and both Michaels. I mix greens using Ivory Black and Lemon or Winsor yellow, or any of the usual blues plus Raw Umber sometimes adding a little Light Red or Burnt Umber to the mix and sometimes a little Winsor Yellow just to lighten it slightly. Having said that I have this week been given some Winsor green which I'm experimenting with. Green paint from the tube is something I've never used before in thirty odd years so it's quite a novelty for me.

Thanks George - I must admit I use olive or sap green which I knock back a bit with lemon yellow or raw sienna and sometimes a little burnt sienna. To darken a bit of ultramarine. Must try using ivory black - something I've not tried before.
