This is just beautiful Fran.

Fran, this is beautiful and achieves what you say you aim for - it's full of light and fresh sea breezes.

Very much my sort of painting, and my sort of place.

Beautiful painting Fran.

What a wonderful view you had and you have managed to convey the sense of distance and the wild landscape extremely well.

Thank you all for your very kind comments - very much appreciated.

Light & summery feel to this Fran....particularly like the foreground & the sky is very well done ...

Absolutely fabulous Fran! Wish I could use oils like this.

Thanks again for your lovely comments. If anyone is interested and lives in the South East I am taking some oil painting en plein air workshops for beginners - see my full profile/Blog page. It would be lovely to meet you.

Very beautiful landscape, fran, I like much the soft colours and the foreground is superb.

Gorgeous, superbly painted full of sea breezes.

Thank you all once again - your wonderful comments are greatly received.

Painted en plein air at Hastings Country Park, Fairlight, East Sussex. The area is known locally as the Firehills due to the number of gorse fires occuring there in the height of summer. The views are just stunning! Oil on board, 30 x 40 cms.
