Nicosia at night

This is an acrylic, A3 size on canvas board, of a street I saw while walking one night with friends in Nicosia, Cyprus. Not far from the border.

Well someone isn't very good at parking their car....even I could do better. Interesting and atmospheric Francesco .

I like this very much Francesco. As Sylvia says, this is full of atmosphere and a touch of mystery. I especially like the almost monochrome colours, just a little touch here and there of warm light.

I just looked at your first posting Francesco, I think you must like Edward Hopper ( I do )

I like the sweep of the road, the sense of direction, the eerie stillness - and the mastery of perspective, which is very difficult to judge when you have curves like this. The tonal contrast could be a little stronger - although there are two light sources, the electric light on the building and the moon up above, which complicates things interestingly.

Mysterious atmosphere and a quiet stillness, lovely work.
