Great textures here and super palette.

The texture medium is very effective Carole, love the colours.

adventurous and exciting experimentation Carole

Must be the queen lovely Carole

We got flowerzzzzzzzzzz.....yehhhhh. i got stung by a bee yesterday......Twenty quid for a jar of honey....ha ha.

Thanks for your comments on this little offering. Thanks for the jokes too ;))

I am having an affair with texture mediums Carole. Really love this and your bee is the "bee's knees" - sorry couldn't resist.

A lovely array of colours Carole and a buzzing bee as well.

Thanks Adele and Alan :)

Adele the texture medium is lovely to use, I have some with glass beads in .

Beautiful. I don't actually think the bee looks too big - just say the wisteria blossom was a particularly small one if necessary! But no, it looks to me like the bee's in the foreground. I like the contrast and variety and depth. Really well done Carole.

I like this Carole - the medium gives a dimensional feel to the painting. Those times when one component in a composition seems out of scale can work as a way of bringing emphasis or highlighting the object - I would venture to say in this instance the bee works!

I agree with Wib....it works Carole, some gorgeous colours in there too.

It's a WOW from me Carole. The texture medium enhances this pretty painting. Lovely.

I too, don't think the bee looks too big. In fact think he works well that size! I love your use of the texture medium too. I'd 'Bee' more than happy to hang this on my wall!. (My apologies- I thought I'd better join in with the others!!).

What texture medium is it Carole?

The bees not to big Carole, you caught it flying towards the plant !!😉. Really I think it's a great painting, love the texture and I really like the way you have got the transparency of the bees wings a really nice touch. The colours in the background really anchor everything, nice one.

Thanks all for your reassuring comments, very kind. Adele it is Dalor Rowney texture paste, the one with glass beads I have is Liquitex.

You've caught it just right Carole. The big bee makes it more interesting for me. I like that twist to ordered things. My imagination runs wild at times. In Durham we have giant bees and giant foxes - some as big as double decker buses. At least that's what I tell the grandchildren.

Thank you Michael ;). You do make me laugh, thanks for that too. Bet your grandchildren love listening to you.

Love the textures.

That's a beautiful effect and a lovely painting

Thanks Dermot and Henry.

Thanks for the info Carole - will hot-foot to the website.

Totally stunning, Carole! Love the textures and the palette, and the soft mistiness.

oh wow... I had not seen this one Carole. I love the texture and colours!

Thank you Seok and Bea, very kind.

Just catching up with site as in hospital a few days....you have been busy again Carole and great result as ever....was going to ask same question as Adele so thank you for info...
