I saw one in our garden only today. No sparrows which used to be so common here, but a woodpecker.. He's a beauty Fiona. Good tree as well!

We sometimes see this lovely bird on our feeder so I thought I'd try to paint one, with a tree rather than a feeder.

After a career teaching Science, I am now retired and have time to enjoy a local Art class. I find pastel suits my style but I also enjoy trying to use water colours to good effect. I love painting flowers but also enjoy buildings, which so far I have painted from photos I have taken.
