Thank you Fiona -this is certainly very lively and atmospheric !! Glad I wasn't out in it,

It really looks stormy Fiona, glad we didn't have 'Barbara' here in Wales.

Looks very battered Fiona, a good depiction of the storm battered coast.

It's raging, it's angry, it's hellish, it's very good.

No, I could only hear it Carol, that was enough! Thanks Carol. Thank you Margaret, if you missed Barbara, did you get the one a couple of days after...Conor? Many thanks David, do you think they give them names so they sound more friendly......that logic isn't working. Michael, I thought you were describing my temperament there for the minute......thank you x

Good, stormy, atmospheric work Fiona. I expect any bridges were washed away :)

You got that out of your system! Barbara didn't come to Northumberland thank goodness.

Louise, only two days into 2017 and you have mentioned THAT word....lol! That's bits and pieces of it in the foreground. I did Marjorie, I enjoyed it. In fact I enjoyed it that much, I'm going to have another go!! Thank you ladies.

And you got it ... atmosphere. It's wild and stormy. I getting all kinds of medium out and going wild. Must do it again soon as you've reminded me what emotion you can achieve with an element of gay abandon.

Atmospheric it is Fiona. Striking....

Love the title Fiona, great interpretation of a horrid storm!

Diana, Jim, Carole, thank you very much. Just as you say Diana, letting go and scrubbing it in gives you a lovely sense of freedom. I've a feeling there may be one or two more of this ilke in the pipeline.

Lovely and atmospheric Fiona. And quite striking as well.

I'm pleased to say it's a calm, bright crisp morning here! You've definitely caught the storm!

Many thanks Henry. It's much calmer here now Gudrun.....thank goodness. I'm just going to get my mat out too! Thanks!

A very adventurous picture Fiona! I had to think at first about the ttle, then remembered it was the name of the storm we had towards the end of the year!!

Many thanks Chandra.

Mixed media....a bit of alsorts thrown at this; ink, charcoal, and most of the white substance is gesso. All applied with a piece of rag. Just before Christmas we had a visit from storm Barbara and although I can't quite see the coast from the house, even though I'm not far away, this is what I imagined it looked like. I was aiming for atmosphere!
